Clock fast forward, Earth Hour, Spring

At 1am, the clock fast forward to 2am, means we lost one hour of sleep! But it means we will be seeing more day light than winter, bbbrrr…Well, temperature is still struggling to reach above 15c, guess I can’t throw my coat away yet. But the good thing is, the sun is out more often! Compared to winter, this definitely makes your day brighter. Before I went to sleep, I changed my watch and clock to one hour faster. We are slower by 7 hours to Malaysia time rather than 8 hours during winter.

We also manage to ‘participate’ in Earth Hour, well, I was more excited than Shern. He was just worried about his Star Craft game =.= So at 8:30pm, I switched off all the lights and light up the candles. It looks really romantic, haha, and it saves electricity bill too! They should make this event more often, rather than once a year.

Spring is here, at least the flowers are beginning to bloom despite the cold temperature. Can’t wait to just throw all my coats aside and just go out in the sun! Guess we took sun for granted! I really miss the sun! Bright and warm sunny day, oh…

Glasgow 2nd visit

We went to Glasgow for the second time. Shern went for work, while I went for holiday 🙂 This time, I decided to take train rather traveling with shern by plane. One, I hate flying, two, I’m tired of the hassle to go through airport security and third, you can’t bring much (like liquid things). So I booked the ticket online, and the difference wasn’t that great, plus it was a virgin train! Nice and comfortable. The entire journey took 4 hours and 30 mins. To me, that’s really fast! The really cool thing was, the Glasgow central (train station) stopped right smack in front of the hotel! I just have to crossed the traffic light, and there is our hotel! I was laughing myself seeing how near it was!

When Shern reached Glasgow (he reached earlier than me), it was snowing!!! I couldn’t believed it, it’s already March! By the time I reached, it has stopped snowing, instead it was raining =.= Thankfully the hotel is quite near, so went straight to hotel and checked in. Went out to eat lunch with Shern and head back to the hotel.

Was unpacking and surfing the net, I looked out the window, it was SNOWING heavily! It snowed almost for 2 hours. Couldn’t really go out, so was waiting for dinner time. After Shern came back from work, we head to Dragon-I to try out. It was quite nice, and the place was really quiet. There were only 2 of us. The food was good.

The next day, I met up with my cousin, Joseph, and he brought me around. Went to Glasgow Cathedral, some museum and some cemetery. The downside was I don’t have a camera with me =.= So did not manage to get any shots. The weather was so much nicer. Not sure why, whenever I’m in Glasgow, the sun will only come out the 2nd day of my visit. Well, better than no sun! Joseph belanja me some dim sum, and went to a huge chinese stores. It was really huge.

It was great to see my cousin again. Thursday I went back by train and arrived back home first before Shern. I miss Glasgow!

Congratulations to my good ol’ friend, and condolences to Japan.

I woke up this morning, and the minute I on my FB there were people talking about Japan’s Earnthquake. Turned on the live coverage and was shocked to see how bad it was. I quickly check out on my friend who was in Tokyo and was glad that she and the family was alright, recently she just gave birth to a baby boy. Although Tokyo was hit only 5 magnitude, it was bad enough to stop all train lines phone lines from working. The worse was Sendai, 8.9 magnitude.  Lives lost, missing people, and the whole country stopped. Not a great day to start!

On the other hand, my good old friend Tjin Earl is getting married!!! Woohooo…We were friends since form 6, and because we lived very near to each other, we often visit one another’s house. I used to go to her house and learned to ride motorbike from her. I remember also going to their factory.  Bringing back all the old memories…

She will be getting married tomorrow in the church, I wish I could be there to witness this happy occasion. But I could only imagine 🙂

To Tjin Earl, congratulations! I’m sure you will be very happy on your wedding day. Enjoy every moment of it! Remember to post some pictures!

Job Application…

I have just submitted a job application on teaching assistant nearby our area. Also, I’m also in the midst of applying to study an Education course this Sept, the only obstacle I had is I don’t have 30 days classroom experience in this country. So I’m really hoping that they will accept my application!
