Christmas in London this year was really different for me. One being away from home and two, I realized that all shops and public transports are closed on Christmas day @.@
So 4 days before Christmas day, I decided to make Christmas fruit cake, and tada…it was not too bad, was a little too late, as you need to feed it with rum one month before Christmas. But oh well, at least there’s something to eat on Christmas day!
Eileen and I had plans for Christmas, we even named it ‘Barbarian Dinner’, but too bad no public transport means can’t come over to our place =.= We planned from starter to dessert, fooh…the menu looks so ‘restaurany’, but we couldn’t go ahead with the plan 😥 So we have to postpone it to another day…
So Shern and I decided to buy Turkey, but ended up buying Turkey crown (the breast only). It was good, we baked it, and it was more than enough for both of us! We had Turkey with roast potato and carrots. Wanted to take some pics but I was too late, the hungry man couldn’t wait to slaughter the turkey…
Busy wishing everyone ‘Merry Christmas’ to frens and families in Malaysia, and we were just at home chilling…On the 26th, there was church service, and of all days, the Tube went ON STRIKE!!! Another day, stuck at home. It was also boxing day sales! From the news, I could really see how crazy ppl are going after the sales, especially in Oxford Street. But it was super cheap so thats why, and moreover next year, they are going to raise VAT tax so a great reason to buy! But it was not all so gloomy, we manage to meet up with Victoria, yes, Victoria Tow in London! ahaha..with Amanda. Went dinner with them in Nandos, and had a great time catching up.
After the Christmas hype, I’m down with flu, cough and fever. Fever has faded, flu remains =.= There are alot of flu cases in the UK now, so it’s better for me to stay at home and rest and drink lots of fluids. Of all times!!!! Oh well…
2011 is coming, can’t imagine how time could just passed so fast. This year has been a very memorable year for me, for us. Time to reflect back and move on…. 2011 here we go!
